  • Investor sentiment for European stocks finished trading positive with the advance/decline ratio for the Euro Stoxx 600 currently at 1.33x
  • Oil & Gas (-0.81%), Automobiles & Parts (+0.17%), and Telecommunications (-0.54%) stocks were the top performers in the Euro Stoxx 600 today
  • Basic Resources (+0.08%), Chemicals (+0.41%), and Banks (-0.1%) stocks were the worst performers in the Euro Stoxx 600 today

Janus Henderson (JHG) described Bill Gross's performance as "disappointing" as his fund is down 7% year to date and it has seen US$1bn in outflows since January.  Janus Henderson's stock is down 24% thsi year.
Merck (MRK GR) disappointed on 2Q results with adjusted EPS of 1.23 euros, 6 cents below consensus estimates.  Guidance for 2018 was affirmed with the company expecting 3-5% organic growth and EPS in the range of 5 euros.
Orsted A/S (ORSTED CP) rose 7% today after announcing it has acquired Lincoln Clean Energy, a US onshore wind energy generation company. Lincoln has 513 MW of installed capacity and 300 under construction
