  • European stocks rose today on hopes of a decline in US-Sino trade tensions ahead of China's Vice Commerce Minister Wang Shouwen meeting this week -- the first significant trade discussion between the US and China in 2 months
  • The Euro Stoxx 600 closed up +0.57%, the FTSE 100 advanced +0.43%, the DAX rose +0.99%, and the CAC 40 finished up +0.65%    
  • Investor sentiment for European stocks finished trading positive with the advance/decline ratio for the Euro Stoxx 600 currently at 3.76x

  • Italian construction firm Atlantia SpA (BIT:ATL) fell 4.32% to €18.43 today, a nearly four-year low, after it was announced that the Italian government has started the formal process of revoking construction company’s toll-highway operating concessions following last week’s fatal bridge collapse in Genoa
  • Bayer AG (DB:BAYN) shares rose 1.97% to €80.82, after the company was reinstated with an outperform rating at Credit Suisse, which set a price target for the company at €95
  • Linde AG (DB:LIN) and Praxair Inc (PX) has received conditional approval from EU antitrust regulators for their proposed USD$4.5 billion merger deal. The companies are now seeking the approval of US antitrust regulators before proceeding with their agreement. The combined company would be one of the worlds largest suppliers of industrial gas. Linde AG shares traded 0.92% higher, while Praxair are up 1.13%
