  • Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google will go to court against the European Union tomorrow in a case that could decide if the EU privacy rules extend globally.  The company will be fighting against the EU’s “right to be forgotten” and had no comment ahead of the case.  Alphabet closed down 0.20% at $1174.36.  Alphabet is rated ‘Neutral’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks and ‘Attractive’ in our US Information Technology Global Top Picks
  • Editas Medicine (EDIT) had its favorable ruling on CRISPR patents affirmed on appeal.  The case involved interference in its licensed patent on Cas9 gene editing.  Editas closed up 2.6% at $31.01.  Editas is rated ‘Top Short’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks
  • UnitedHealth (UNH) was cut to neutral from buy as Citi sees more concern in the commercial risk market.  Citi also sees headline risk with increased noise around a single payer system.  UnitedHealth closed down 3.1% at $259.80.  UnitedHealth is rated ‘Top Buy’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks
