  • The Euro Stoxx 600 closed up +0.47%, the FTSE 100 advanced +0.55%, the DAX rose +0.52%, and the CAC 40 finished up +0.91%
  • Investor sentiment for European stocks finished trading positive with the advance/decline ratio for the Euro Stoxx 600 currently at 1.76x

  • Deutsche Bank (DBK GR) could be split into 3 units as press reports state a push to change regulations to allow for an easy split is gaining steam.  Reports are the company is considering a holding company structure allowing for 3 generally independent divisions.  Deutsche Bank closed down 1.4% at 9.53 euros.  Deutsche Bank is rated ‘Unattractive’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
  • EON (EOAN GR) had its price target cut to 9.50 euros from 10.50 by Morgan Stanley.  The firm highlighted f/x headwinds in a number of markets, notably Sweden and Turkey, as it faces restructuring costs.  EON closed 3.5% lower at 8.83 euros.  EON is rated ‘Neutral’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
  • Ryanair (RYA ID) plans to add 23 destinations at 4 London airports for summer 2019 as its CEO doubles down on the UK post-Brexit.   While the CEO concedes there is concern that Brexit could happen without a full agreement that could cause flight disruptions he believes any problems would be very short-lasting.  Ryanair closed up 1.15% at 13.20 euros.  Ryanair is rated ‘Top Short’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
