European stocks end week with gains on optimism China and US will make progress on trade

European Markets

  • Optimism that the US and China will make progress on trade issues helped European stocks close with gains today
  • The Euro Stoxx 600 closed up +0.35%, the FTSE 100 advanced +0.31%, the DAX rose +0.57%, and the CAC 40 finished up +0.46%
  • Investor sentiment for European stocks finished trading positive with the advance/decline ratio for the Euro Stoxx 600 currently at 2.24x
  • Oil & Gas (+0.33%), Telecommunications (+0.1%), and Basic Resources (+0.98%) stocks were the top performers in the Euro Stoxx 600 today
  • Automobiles & Parts (+1.24%), Food & Beverage (+0.38%), and Utilities (-0.31%) stocks were the worst performers in the Euro Stoxx 600 today
