  • The Euro Stoxx 600 closed up +0.12%, the FTSE 100 declined -0.03%, the DAX fell -0.23%, and the CAC 40 finished down -0.07%
  • Investor sentiment for European stocks finished trading neutral with the advance/decline ratio for the Euro Stoxx 600 currently at 1.02x

  • Danske Bank (DANSKE DC) has become such a volatile stock that Nasdaq has put trading of its derivatives in a “stressed market condition”, a seldom used tool.  This permits market makers to provide a wider quote than normal and was done in advance of Danske’s report due Wednesday on its involvement in one of Europe’s largest money laundering schemes.  Danske closed down 0.65% at 168.85 kronos.  Danske is rated ‘Top Short’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
  • Deutsche Bank (DBK GR) reiterated it is in the process of moving assets to Frankfurt from London ahead of the UK exit from the EU.  Deutsche said it could move up to 300bn euros in assets from its London balance sheet as part of the changes.  It also said its UK business will be operated as a branch, not a full-fledged operation.  Deutsche Bank closed up 0.45% at 9.85 euros and is rated ‘Unattractive’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
  • Deutsche Post (DPW GR) rose 0.70% to 31.32 euros after announcing it will separate its international e-commerce and parcel business into a stand-alone unit to be called DHL eCommerce Solutions.  Its German post and parcel business will be renamed Post & Paket Deutschland.  Deutsche Post is rated ‘Unattractive’ in our European Large-Cap Global Top Picks
