  • Delta Airlines (DAL) shares are trading 3.1% higher at $51.31 after reporting strong travel demand.  Delta Airlines said it is also seeing improved pricing power and it should see revenue from each seat mile flown grow 3-5% in 4Q, which will help it offset the higher costs of jet fuel.  Delta Airlines is rated ‘Neutral’ in both our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks and US Industrials Global Top Picks
  • Sears (SHLD) is being forced to liquidate by lenders and will file a Chapter 7 filing soon according to a report in the Wall Street Journal today.  The report said Sears met with lenders yesterday and was not able to come to an agreement.   There are reports that Sears has started to miss payments to suppliers, further weighing on the shares which are trading 12.4% lower at $0.43.  Sears is rated ‘Unattractive’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks and ‘Top Short’ in our US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Picks
  • Square (SQ) shares are trading 14.5% down from yesterday’s close on news its CFO is leaving.  Many analysts have commented that CFO Sarah Friar really ran the day-to-day operations and she will be sorely missed at Square.  Square will likely see continued weakness on the uncertainty surrounding a successor.  Square is rated ‘Top Short’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Information Technology Global Top Picks
  • Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA) provided guidance above consensus and the shares are trading 3.5% higher at $73.15.  Walgreens Boots Alliance reported FY2018 adjusted EPS guidance of $6.40-6.70 while consensus is $6.45, with 4Q adjusted EPS expected at $1.48 while consensus is $1.48.  Walgreens Boots Alliance is rated ‘Attractive’ in both our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks and US Consumer Staples Global Top Picks
