  • Activision (ATVI) shares are trading 4.7% higher at $77.20 on reports its launch of the latest release in the Call of Duty franchise has been very well received.  Bloomberg reports Activision’s viewership on Twitch today is triple that of Fortnite, the strongest competitor to Call of Duty.    On seeing the data, Jefferies published a note saying the franchise could deliver revenue above initial estimates for Activision.  Activision is rated 'Neutral’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Information Technology Global Top Picks
  • Alphabet (GOOGL) has seen the first lawsuits filed relating to the recently disclosed security flaw in its Google+ social network.  Alphabet’s Google discovered the flaw in March but only made in public 2 days ago.  The complaints state that Alphabet’s Google should have informed users of the flaw immediately instead of keeping it secret for so long.  The suit names as defendants Alphabet and its senior executives.  Alphabet is rated “Neutral’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Information Technology Global Top Picks
  • L Brands (LB) is rising 4% in midday trading at $31.40 after it confirmed it is seeking “alternatives” for its La Senza lingerie retailer.  L Brands has owned La Senze for 10 years, and over the course of that time, it has performed poorly. L Brands expects it to post an operating loss $40mm on sales of $250mm.  L Brands is rated ‘Top Short’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Picks and ‘Unattractive’ in our US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Picks
