  • Adobe (ADBE) provided optimistic guidance for 2019 as it expands its products lines.  Adobe said it may see up to 20% growth in revenues in 2019 reaching $10.8bn.  That would put Adobe’s revenues above present consensus as the company expects strong growth across the firm.  Adobe closed 4.4% lower at $238.01 despite the bullish guidance.  Adobe  is rated ‘Top Buy’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Stock Ideas and ‘Neutral’ in our US Information  Technology Global Top Stock Ideas
  • L3 Technologies (LLL) closed 12.8% higher at $220.91 after announcing it would merge with Harris Corp (HRS) to form the sixth largest defense contractor in the US.  Harris Corp closed 11.9% higher at $173.25.   Melius Research published a note saying in the future “…most will view this as a turning point in the industry.”  The combined company will be focused on defense communication and technology, the present focus of both companies individually.  Harris is rated ‘Attractive’ in our US Large-Cap Global Top Stock Ideas and ‘Neutral’ in our US Industrials Global Top Stock Ideas, L3 is rated ‘Attractive’ in our US Large-cap Global Top Stock Ideas and ‘Unattractive’ in our US Industrials Global Top Stock Ideas.
  • Walmart (WMT) is seeking to build its Vudu streaming video service into a competitor of Amazon’s (AMZN) Prime video, seeking to offer other pay videos services like HBO Now and Starz, Bloomberg reports today.  Walmart has been in discussions with video providers at it seeks to convert its customers to users of its online services.  Walmart closed 1% lower at $93.82 while Amazon closed 1.6% lower at $1760.95.  Walmart is rated ‘Neutral’ in our US Large-cap Global Top Stock Ideas and ‘Attractive’ in our US Consumer Staples Global Top Stock Ideas.  Amazon is rated ‘Neutral’ in our US Large-cap Global Top Stock Ideas and ‘Top Buy’ in our US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Stock Ideas.
