  • Caesars Entertainment Corp (CRZ) has been approached by Golden Nuggets Casinos’ owner about a possible merger, according to a report in Bloomberg today.  Caesars Entertainment Corp soared 11.3% to close at $10.13.  The report states that Golden Nuggets would be folded into the larger Caesars Entertainment Corp, valuing the privately held Gold Nugget at $13 per share.  Caesars Entertainment Corp is rated ‘Unattractive’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Stock Ideas.
  • Home Depot (HD) closed 4% lower at $185.90 after Credit Suisse downgraded the stock to neutral from outperform.  Home Depot’s price target was cut to $204 from $222.  Home Depot suffers from a lack of upside with all positive news priced into the stock, according to the report.  Home Depot fell to its lowest level in 20 weeks on the news.  Home Depot is rated ‘Top Buy’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Stock Ideas.
  • Netflix (NFLX), after reporting blowout subscriber growth in the 3Q, may consider lower prices in India to sustain its torrid growth.   On its conference call today, Netflix chief product officer said, “We’ll experiment with other pricing models not only for India, but around the world…”  Netflix believes there are hundreds of millions of potential customers in India and are considering ways to tap into them.  Netflix is rated ‘Neutral’ in both our US Large-Cap and US Consumer Discretionary Global Top Stock Ideas.
