  • The United States and China have set a date for a new round of trade talks with negotiators shooting to sign a final deal by late May, according to the WSJ
  • The preliminary plan is for US Trade Rep Robert Lighthizer to travel to Beijing the week of April 29th for the next round of talks
  • Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin will accompany the US delegation to Beijing
  • This will be followed by Vice Premier Liu He visiting Washington, DC the week of May 6th

  • Treasury officials said today the agreement contains currency manipulation preventions as strong as those agreed to wuth Mexico and Canada
