US Markets End of Day Snapshot

US stocks ended the day higher on a rather quiet day. The S&P 500 +0.31%, Russell 2000 +0.28%, and the Nasdaq Composite +0.14%. The S&P 500 was led higher today by Consumer Staples (+1.23%), Real Estate (+0.34%), and Health Care (+0.58%), while Energy (-0.19%), Technology (-0.17%), and Telecom (+0.32%) were the biggest lagging sectors. The VIX rose 5 basis points, or 0.41%, to 12.18. The most actively traded options in US markets today were BAC June 8 ATM Calls, SPY June 8 ATM Calls, and SPY August 17 OTM Calls. US 10-year yields were little changed, up 1.9 basis points to 2.949%. USD$ was stronger against most of the G10, falling only against the JPY¥ and CAD$.
