How Did European Stocks Close?

European stocks ended higher today, on news that President Trump may not impose tariffs on EU cars imported to the US. Major indices were higher today, with the Euro Stoxx 600 +0.41%, the FTSE 100 +0.40%, the DAX +1.19%, and the CAC40 +0.86%. Periphery markets were higher as well, with Italy’s MIB +1.05%, Spain’s IBEX +1.11%, Portugal’s PSI 20 +0.98%, and Greece’s ASE +0.56%. The VSTOXX ended down 49 basis points, or -3.02%, to 15.73. Yield on the UK 10 year fell 1.6 basis points to 1.259%, while the yield on the Italian 10-year rose 6.5 basis points to 2.710%.
