US stocks ended higher today, with the S&P 500 +0.88%, the Russell 2000 +0.62%, and the Nasdaq Composite +0.88%. The S&P 500 was led higher today by Financials (+2.32%), Industrials (+1.86%), and Energy (+1.49%), while Utilities (-3.08%), Real Estate (-0.93%), and Consumer Staples (-0.38%) were the biggest lagging sectors. The VIX is down -5.09%, to 12.69. The yield on the US 10-year, down 3.7 basis points to 2.860%. The most active options today are IWM August 17 OTM Puts, SPY July 9 OTM Call, and LC July 18 ITM Put. The USD$ ended realtively unchanged against the G10 currencies, EUR (+.028%), GBP (-.223%), JPY (-.313%), and AUD (.470%).
