How Did European Stocks Close?

European stocks finished broadly higher with the Euro Stoxx 600 +0.17%, the DAX +0.38%, the FTSE 100 +0.14%, and the CAC 40 +0.43%. Periphery markets were mixed with Spain’s IBEX -0.33%, Italy’s FTSE MIB +0.47%, Portugal’s PSI 20 -0.26%, and Greece’s ASE Athens +1.26%. The VSTOXX ended 4.87% lower today, down to 12.80 after closing at 13.46. Yield on the Italian 10-year sovereign bond is down 7.4 basis points to 2.542%, while the yield on the German Bund is 1.7 basis points lower to 0.336%. The GBP£ is 0.09% higher today, while the EUR€ (-0.03%), CHF (-0.04%), and the SEK (-0.35%) have all declined.
