US Market Snapshot

US stock markets are falling slightly today, following the trend set by the European stock markets, with the S&P 500 -0.08%, Russell 2000 -0.48%, and the Nasdaq Composite -0.10%.  The S&P 500 is being led lower today by Energy (-1.54%), Materials (-0.63%), and Health Care (-0.62%), while Financials (+1.15%), Consumer Discretionary (+0.06%), and Technology ( -0.08%) are the biggest outperforming sectors. The VIX is up 44 basis points, or 3.61%, to 12.61. Yield on the US 10-year is up 3.3 basis points to 2.863%. The DXY USD$ index is down -0.22%, with strength in the AUD$ (+0.12%) offset by weakness in the CHF (-0.42%), EUR€ (-0.20%), and CAD$ (-0.20%). The most actively traded options today are SPY July 16 ATM Puts, EEM July 20 and September 21 ITM Puts, and BAC ATM Calls.
