European Stocks at the Close
Major European indices ended higher today, with the Euro Stoxx 600 +0.24%, FTSE 100 +0.34%, DAX +0.80%, and the CAC40 +0.24%. Periphery markets were mostly higher, with Italy’s MIB +0.71%, Spain’s IBEX +0.04%, and Portugal’s PSI 20 +0.33%, while Greece’s ASE -0.05% fell. The VSTOXX ended 3.65% lower today, down to 12.56 after closing at 13.04 yesterday. Yield on the Italian 10-year sovereign bond is down 11.1 basis points to 2.467%, while the yield on the German Bund is 2.0 basis points lower to 0.342%.
