European Stocks at the Close
Major European indices ended higher today, with Euro Stoxx 600 +0.54%, FTSE 100 +0.65%, DAX +0.82%, and CAC40 +0.46%. Periphery markets ended mixed today, with Spain’s IBEX +0.35% and Greece’s ASE +1.10% ending higher, while Italy’s MIB -0.02% and Portugal’s PSI 20 -0.26% ended lower. The VSTOXX ended 4.73% lower today, down to 11.96 after closing at 12.55 yesterday. Yield on the Italian 10-year sovereign bond is up 3.8 basis points to 2.511%, while the yield on the German Bund is 0.9 basis points higher to 0.338%.
