US Market Snapshot



US stocks are mixed today, with the S&P 500 -0.30% and the Nasdaq Composite -0.27% lower, while the Russell 2000 +0.44% is higher. The S&P 500 is being led lower today by Financials (-1.22%), Health Care (-0.54%), and Industrials (-0.31%), while Utilities (+1.13%), Real Estate (+0.95%), and Consumer Staples (+0.26%) are the biggest outperforming sectors. The VIX is up 60 basis points, or 4.96%, to 12.70. Yield on the US 10-year is down 3.1 basis points, trading at 2.842%. The DXY USD$ index is up +0.38%, with the US Dollar stronger against all of the G10, with significant strength in AUD$ (+0.89%), CAD$ (+0.81%), and GBP£ (+0.65%). The most actively traded options today are SPY July 20 ATM and OTM Calls, BAC July 20 OTM Calls, and EEM July 27 OTM Puts.
