How Did European Stocks Close?

European stocks broadly advanced, with the Euro Stoxx 600 +0.85%, the FTSE 100 +0.70%, the DAX +1.12%, and the CAC 40 +1.04%. Periphery markets were higher as well, with Italy’s FTSE MIB +1.25% and Spain’s IBEX +0.48%. The VSTOXX declined 10.31%, to 12.72. Yield on the Italian 10-year rose 4.2 basis points to 2.674%, while the yield on the German Bund declined 1.0 basis points to 0.392%. European currencies are mixed against the USD$, with the EUR€ -0.11%, the GBP£+ 0.24%, the CHF -0.20%, and the SEK +0.32%.
