Asian Stocks Finish Mixed, Despite Positive US-EU Trade Summit

  • Japanese stocks finished lower, with the Nikkei 225 -0.12%
  • Telecommunications (-1.98%), health care (-1.38%), and consumer discretionary stocks (-0.26%) were the worst performers in the Nikkei 225
  • Energy (+1.29%), real estate (+1.17%), and utilities stocks (+0.80%) were the best performers today
  • Volume in the Nikkei 225 was 0.51% above its 10-day average
  • Market breadth for the Nikkei 225 was decidedly positive with 176 out of 225 stocks finishing higher
